Service diagnostic on 1999 furnace and AC. Initial call for no cool on system. System froze over and caused water damage on internals and blower compartment. Freeze over caused by lower refrigerant plus low static pressure and long run times. All factors combined cause equipment to freeze over and cause catastrophic crack in pan. Cracked drain pan caused coil to drain water from back of unit down into blower causing pooling in equipment. Provided client with repair versus replacement estimate. Repair would require full coil removal, pump down of refrigerant, replacement pan, and reinstallation. Provided client with disclaimer that repair is not recommended as it is a 50-50 chance system does not run properly after repaired. Provided equipment, quotes as well as repair quotes. Client will follow up on any future work requested.

Review
Coral was AMAZING! She really took her time and was very knowledgeable. We could not access the crawlspace initially because previous owner sealed it. Once it was open she came back that same day - and then went on to the two other jobs she had that evening. She took extra time to explain to me what the issue was and how to resolve. Although the news was not very good (HVAC system totally dead - both furnace and AC) she made the news as palatable as she could and helped find a solution. Also, I called several other HVAC companies since the AC died Friday night and it was over the weekend. Clarks Mechanical was the ONLY one able to send a tech out first thing Monday morning. They communicated arrival time to me very effectively (I wasn't sitting around waiting and wondering). Great company and Coral is extremely proficient in what she does. Highly recommend!
