Came out to assess no heat on 1960s Lennox natural draft furnace. Motor is seized up. Got it to spin and run. The furnace is sorting at the 4th chamber. Carbon monoxide test indicated over 30PPM in under 10 minutes of furnace running. Furnace cannot operate anymore. The American Gas Association states that no repairs are to be made to the furnace. Got Field Supervisor on the phone with contractor present. Stated the gas is to be turned off to the furnace. Field Supervisor is sending quotes over to homeowner. Verified no carbon monoxide coming from heat exchanger. Gas valve tested within amperage range. Blower motor test tested on higher 80% of amperage range. Combination of usage and build up are all contributing factors for loss of efficiency and high amperage. Recommended blower removal and cleaning. During the maintenance, found heavy water buildup around the condensation pump, which was off due to a tripped GFI. After resetting, the pump worked fine. The system was clean, but the filter was dirty. Cleaned it and checked pressures and temperatures. Ducts need cleaning, and a UV light is recommended.

Technician inspected an indirect water heater, discovering a leak at the supply side union. The indirect heater is old, but the tank is undamaged. Recommended repairing the fitting. Will follow up, job complete.
