We understand you are selling the home, and those items are not necessary for the sale. However, the new buyers may appreciate knowing that a duct cleaning could be beneficial for them and their new home. We’re sorry you felt “upsold” — that was never our intention. The invoice summary from the technician was extremely thorough. He cleaned the system as requested and noted that everything was running smoothly for the sale of your home. Here is the full service summary for transparency: Began service at thermostat by turning furnace 2° above the temperature for testing. Consistent 30° temperature splits throughout home. Noted drywall and dust buildup on system before opening panels. Updated all data plate pictures before beginning service. Inducer motor, gas valve, and blower motor tested within manufacturer tolerances. System static pressure slightly low, testing .32WC/.50WC rated. Lower static pressure can cause adverse wear and tear on internals over time. Removed and resurfaced flame sensor and cleaned burner eyelets. Double‑checked all safeties and securities connected to circuit board. Wiped down dust and debris in burner compartment and blower cabinet. AC condensation line clear. AC coil not checked at this time. All system internals operating within manufacturer tolerances. Recommendations include proactive duct cleaning to balance pressures and an upgraded static filter to mitigate dust buildup throughout the system. Upgraded filter ensures cleanliness and longevity of the furnace. No further work required at this point; system recycled before departure.
