Informative to say the least. Now I know why the furnace didn't work and why it was imperative it be replaced.
Diagnosed a 1996 Premier Furnace with inconsistent heat. Found carbon monoxide leakage at 4 ppm, escalating. Advised against operation. Left estimate for replacement with a 90% efficient model per regulations. Job complete.
Completed routine maintenance on a 2023 Rheem furnace and AC. Checked system settings, filters, and static pressure. Cleaned coils, ensured pump and drainage were clear, and restored cooling to 18°.
Upon inspection, the pump magnet wasn't activating the pump. The sensor had accumulated dirt, which was cleaned. No additional repairs were necessary. The system is now functioning correctly.
Completed a full system installation of an 80% downflow ECM 70k furnace, 13 SEER 3.5-ton condenser, new gas flex, valve, and exhaust pipe. Wired the RDS sensor, recovered refrigerant, flushed lines, brazed connections, and pressure checked with nitrogen. Ensured equipment functioned properly.
